Christoph Ziegenhardt has been taking pictures for over 15 years. As a documentary, not-for-profit photographer he strongly believes in the role of imagery to create change. It's this belief that inspires and motivates his work.

Having grown in up in the developing world, he believes that his practical and academic background in graphic design, multimedia, photography, journalism, ethics, communication and community development as well as his continual work in the not-for-profit development sector allows him to understand the importance and specific requirements of visual media to tell the stories of people around the world and of the work of NGOs, aid-communicators and development agencies.

Recently, he has been working mainly for CBM Australia (cbm.org.au) and his images have been used in communications and fundraising publications in Australia, Canada, Germany, New Zealand and England.

His photographic pursuits have taken him to Kenya, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Sudan, Niger, Nigeria, Mauritius, India, Singapore, Japan, China, Philippines, Indonesia and Cambodia. For the last 5 years he has been based in Melbourne, Australia.
